Grant AlCrN Ion Coating Drip Tip

Alcrona (AlCrN) is a titanium free ion coating for broad application in machining and forming operations. Our AlCrN coatings were deposited on steel substrates using cathodic arc evaporation. This coating is particularly attractive due to its excellent resistance to oxidation and mechanical properties as well as chemical stability. The coefficient of friction is only 0.35μ, making it almost non-sticking. Overstands DLC treatment wear and scratch resistance due to its microhardness of 3200-3500 HV. Keeps its thermal stability up to 1000-1100º. And finally, exhibits a gray color with reflections in light blue. The gray tone depends on the finish of the steel: the more polished it is, the lighter and brighter the gray will be.

Is widely used in industrial applications to improve the performance of cutting tools, molds, and dies. Is absolutely non-sense bring this technology to vaping.
